Hi, I’m Julia!

When I was a young teenager, my parents took my sister and me on an epic road trip across the country. I fell in love quickly with the vast open spaces, tremendous natural beauty and the sense that there were a thousand adventures out there waiting for me. My family and I explored remote mountain ranges, rugged coastlines and mysterious deserts. That trip stayed with me forever, and I dreamed of exploring the places we visited in more depth someday.

In 2004, having recently graduated from college, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to move from the East Coast to Breckenridge, Colorado. I began to live a life I had dreamed about, skiing, backpacking, mountain biking and seeking out the “wild blue yonder”.

I’ve been making art as long as I can remember. Since I moved to Colorado, I have been inspired by the amazing mountains around me, and much of my work depicts these scenes. Recently I have been interested in not only capturing these gorgeous landscapes, but also the adventures that we have within them. I spend so much time exploring and enjoying an active lifestyle outdoors – it seems only natural to portray these journeys as well. I’m in love with adventure travel and being active. My paintings celebrate this love for the outdoor lifestyle!
