Last Festival of the Year: Gathering at the Great Divide in Breckenridge

julia-wpThanks to everyone who came out to my other art festivals so far this summer! It’s been great to meet and chat with so many different people from all over the country throughout the summer. I love hearing about your travels and adventures, and it’s such a pleasure to see folks connect with my art!

This coming Labor Day weekend, I’ll be showing my work one last time this year at the 41st Annual Gathering at the Great Divide in Breckenridge.

I’ll have several new small paintings available, as well as a larger variety of print sizes (both matted and unmatted). This is your last chance to see so many of my paintings in one place for 2016. Come by and say hi!

Steamboat Art in the Park & Balloon Rodeo: A Perfect Weekend!

julia-taylor-festival-paintingsThis coming weekend I’ll be showing my paintings at the 42nd Annual Art in the Park in beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO! I’m excited to be showing my ski and bike paintings, as well as my landscapes.

Art in the Park features 160 artists, as well as live music, food, beer and wine. It’s sure to be a fun event for the whole family! The weather forecast looks amazing this weekend with temps in the mid-70s and sunshine.

Where: West Lincoln Park, on the west end of downtown Steamboat Springs

When: Saturday, July 9th, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday, July 10th, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

I’ll have both originals and prints for sale. Come by my booth and say hi!

Also in Steamboat this weekend – the 35th Annual Hot Air Balloon Rodeo!

The Balloon Rodeo begins at 6:00 am each day, so start your day early and come out for both events! Check out the full schedule of events at the Steamboat Chamber’s website.

Vail Arts Festival: Make a Weekend of It!

A few weeks ago I announced my 2016 summer art festival schedule. I am very excited for my first one of the season coming up in just a few days, the Vail Arts Festival! Please join me and approximately 80 other artists at the Lionshead Village in Vail. Artists representing 22 states and 13 different mediums will be showing their work and interacting with the public. The weather forecast looks great for the weekend, so please come out! Admission is free.

Summertime in the Colorado mountains is such a great time to visit. The temperatures are mild and there is so much to do! In addition to hiking, biking, rafting, golfing, climbing and more, there are tons of events going on! I’ve decided to share some other fun activities happening in each of the towns to which I’ll be traveling for art festivals. This post of course is all about Vail…but stay tuned for more posts like this one throughout the summer!

The Vail Family Fun Fest is a few hours of simple fun in the beautiful Colorado Rockies presented in a festival setting. Families can come and enjoy arts and crafts projects, a science tent, games, and more! All meant to provide a great setting for families to relax and play together.

Summer is here and art festival season is upon us in Colorado!

As some of you know, I did my first art festival last June and has a blast. I’m excited to be doing at least four festivals this summer, and I invite you to come visit me and my paintings at one or more of these events!

Join Me April 9th: Arts Alive Featured Artist Opening Reception

I’m happy to be named the April Featured Artist at the Arts Alive Gallery in Breckenridge!

Come to the opening reception to check out my latest paintings, have a glass of wine and some appetizers with me, and meet some of the other wonderful artists from the gallery!

If you can’t make it to the opening, my show will be on display through the month of April. The Arts Alive Gallery is open Sunday – Thursday, 11-6, and Friday – Saturday, 11-7.

Mark Your Calendars: My First Solo Show is 8/19 in Breckenridge!

solo-sprint-1I’m excited to announce that I will be having my first solo art show in just a couple of short weeks! Cornerstone Real Estate Company in Breckenridge has graciously offered to display my paintings in their beautiful office. We’ll be having an opening reception – and you’re invited!

Nearly 40 of my recent paintings will be on display. And to celebrate the arrival of the USA Pro Challenge, the show will include my full cycling painting collection! One of the paintings featured will be “Solo Sprint”, which was a finalist in the 2015 USA Pro Challenge poster contest.

Refreshments will be served. Please stop by!
